When the temperature drops, switch to this cozy insulated boot for warmth and comfort that doesn’t skimp on style. Wear the Lavela as a tall boot, or sport it with the faux shearling collar turned down. Waterproof suede uppers and a gusseted tongue keep your feet dry while a removable ThermaShield™ insole seals out the cold from beneath and reflects natural body heat back toward your feet.
Pretty Good Boot. – Susan Jones –
This is a nice looking and effective winter boot. But I would not consider it waterproof—-based on experience. I bought a pair of North Face boots at the same time and there is absolutely no comparison except that these boots weigh less. The North Face boots are much better made and are serious about keeping out the cold and wet. These boots are a good price and pretty cute but if you need serious snow boots you can do better.

Snowy or slushy conditions are no match for this rugged insulated boot from Columbia Sportswear. Durable seam-sealed construction keeps feet dry while a removable ThermaShield™ insole seals out the cold from beneath and reflects natural body heat back toward your feet. A full Thinsulate lining delivers serious warmth without bulk. Zippers instead of laces get you out the door in no time.

I got these boots because I liked the fact that you just had to zip them and go. It seemed so convenient, but the first time I wore them the zipper slid down while I was walking, the boots felt loose. I kept having this problem, but I didn’t want to return them because of that, so I just tied a shoelace around them and the zipper doesn’t slide down anymore. Other than that, they are great.

These boots are warm and comfortable. They’re easy to slip on and work well for running errands. My only complaint is that the zipper slides down sometimes while I’m wearing them. It’s not a problem for walking in slushy parking lots.

Columbia Sportswear Women’s Teraval Boot Overviews
There’s no reason why functional can’t also be luxurious. The Teraval is a simple, waterproof suede boot with a beautiful, faux-shearling cuff. You’ll stay warm with Thinsulate insulation, ThermaShield frost plug and protection up to 25-below. With a locking zipper on the front, it couldn’t be easier to look good in those cold winter months.
So now that our winter in NY has finally gone into the deep freeze I needed something to keep my feet really warm and these boots fit the bill. They are worth the $$ for the comfort. My only concern is that they run a little small. I am usually an 8.5 but my toe hit the end (and of course they are not going to be flexible) and I had to return for the size 9.
Runs small – Cher – USA
I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 shoe and ordered the 8.5 boot – but it was too small. I’d recommend getting a 1/2 size larger – especially if you wear thick socks! I returned for the 9. They are SO warm. Wonderful in NY’s deep freeze.
